PM Zaev meets Polish businessmen, mayors
Skopje, 20 September 2021 (MIA) – Prime Minister Zoran Zaev met Monday with a delegation from the Republic of Poland, including businessmen and mayors, led by Ambassador Wojciech Tycinski.
PM Zaev, who was accompanied at the meeting by Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi and MP Laze Tanevski, said Poland is one of North Macedonia’s strongest supporters in the country’s EU accession process, the Government said in a press release.
Zaev said the traditional friendship between the two countries is reflected in the bilateral economic cooperation, with trade exchange expected to reach a record EUR 300 million in 2021.
The PM briefed the Polish businessmen on the country’s investment benefits, with a focus on the tax and other facilitations that could reach up to 50 percent of the total investment.
The Polish businessmen showed interest for the benefits offered by the Law on Strategic Investments in the field of renewable energy – photovoltaics and wind parks.
The meeting also focused on cooperation among local authorities, especially the fraternization of countries’ municipalities towards networking small and medium enterprises, reads the press release.
