PM Kovachevski: Gathering to discuss issues a positive thing
Skopje, 7 November 2022 (MIA) - Parliament should function smoothly and all lawmakers should engage in the adoption of legislation, especially laws in the judiciary. The government is open for cooperation and what we need now is inclusivity and unity. The EU integration issue should not serve as the ground for daily politics, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski urged at Monday's meeting with parliamentary party leaders. Kovachevski informed them about the EU accession process and the energy situation the country is facing, about judiciary laws that are yet to be adopted and the 2023 national budget. He also offered conclusions from the meeting urging the parliamentary parties to consider EU membership as supra-party interest and all stakeholders to give full support Kovachevski, however, stated after the meeting that it won't produce joint conclusions. The premier express content that all parliamentary party leaders but two attended the meeting. "All political parties expressed their views, some of them are known to the public. It's key that we sat down to discuss these issues," Kovachevski said.
