Skopje, 11 May 2025 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Sunday the government is stable with a large majority that is focused on the reform agenda and on delivering projects. He announced that next week he will hold a final meeting with Health Minister Arben Taravari to sum up all that has been accomplished.
“I think Mr Taravari and a few close to him have decided to return to Ali Ahmeti and DUI’s arms. I can only wish him good luck. I hope we will hold a final meeting this coming week to sum up all that has been accomplished,” Mickoski told reporters during a visit to Indzikovo in Skopje’s Gazi Baba municipality.
It is Taravari’s decision to mend the ties with Ali Ahmeti, he added, and it’s not the decision of the Alliance for Albanians members and of a majority of the people in the government.
The least I expected was for Taravari to return to Ali Ahmeti’s arms, Mickoski stressed.
Asked whether talks are under way with other parties to join the government coalition, Mickoski reiterated that the government is stable with a strong majority in Parliament.
“I expect to have yet another, final coffee with Taravari after inviting him. The government is stable, strong with a strong majority in Parliament to continue implementing the reform process,” stated Mickoski.
On May 5, Mickoski and Taravari held a meeting after infighting in Vlen, the junior government coalition partner, and following claims that Taravari restored his cooperation with DUI. The meeting was held in a constructive spirit, the government told MIA back then.
