Skopje, 2 March 2023 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski met Thursday with representatives of the United States business community interested in investing in North Macedonia, focusing on the investment conditions in the country, especially in the area of green energy, as well as the benefits provided to the investors by the country.
The U.S. delegation was led by Eric Meyer, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje, as well as special representatives from the U.S. Department of State.
Welcoming the interest of the American companies to invest in the country, PM Kovachevski encouraged the businessmen to assess the investment opportunities in various areas. He noted that North Macedonia has already been recognized as a stable and secure investment destination by other investors, said the Government in a press release.
Additionally, the PM noted the benefits for foreign investors, such as: the return of investment expenses, exemption from paying utility taxes to the local municipalities and taxes for building permits, as well tax relief.
