Skopje, 14 March 2024 (MIA) - Defense Minister and SDSM member Slavjanka Petrovska said Thursday the party has not yet decided on the list principals for the upcoming parliamentary elections, but she is ready to head a list if the party decides so.

"Such decision has not yet been made within the party. I have said many times before, I am ready, if such decision is made, to head a list or be on the list of MP candidates, or neither one. What I have been doing so far in all the posts to which I have been appointed is performing them professionally and responsibly, always contributing to the country," Petrovska told reporters after Thursday's media briefing on the procurement of eight helicopters for the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia. 

She added that she is not being unambitious, but a decision should be made that will bring better results for the party.

Official information so far confirms that SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski will be the list principal in the first election district. 

SDSM MP Darko Kaevski said Tuesday that talks within the party and consultations with coalition partners are coming to a close and the party will unveil very soon the list principals for the six election districts.
