Skopje, 3 July 2022 (MIA) – An explicit demand of their ambassador in Brussels before other ambassadors of member states is Bulgarians to be spread across the Constitution. Their final request, I have been told by the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is that the matter has already been aligned, and Bulgarians will be incorporated in the Preamble, said President Stevo Pendarovski on Sunday. President Pendarovski told reporters after a session of the Security Council on the French proposal that North Macedonia cannot make a precedent in the Constitution and Bulgarians cannot be listed in the section that does not include parts of other nations. “Nevertheless, the latest request is that they are included in the section of the Preamble. This is a constitutive element, as is for parts of other nations, and there is no dilemma on this. The only change in the normative part of the Constitution will probably be the so-called Committee of Communities, where Bulgarians will be included as all others,” added Pendarovski.
