Skopje, 16 September 2022 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski addressed a ceremony marking the 20-year anniversary of the Eco-Awareness Environmental Research and Information Center, held Thursday night in Skopje. The event, held under the auspices of President Pendarovski, was organized by Eco-Awareness, as a strategic partner of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) in order to implement the strategic three-year project called “Together for Climate Action” / Civil organizations take climate change action. Eco-Awareness is a leading organization in the country, which has existed for 20 years and has been leading sustainable development policies, the green transformation of society, protection of the environment and the people’s health, according to the President’s Office. President Pendarovski highlighted his support for civil organizations in his address, as well as the interest and care for the environment, as one of the most important issues of today. He called upon unity and mutual work to solve these crucial issues that our survival as a state and society depends on. “In the years to come, it’s necessary to devote ourselves to the green agenda and accomplish all goals for a clean environment, healthy citizens, energy and economic sustainability and stability, protected nature and wildlife, and a circular instead of a linear economy,” the President said in his address at the celebration of the 20-year anniversary of the Eco-Awareness Environmental Research and Information Center. dk/ba/
