Parliament to vote on new minister of health on June 12 at the latest, PM says

Skopje, 3 June 2025 (MIA) – Parliament is expected to vote on the proposed minister of health, Azir Aliu, during a session scheduled for June 12, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Tuesday adding that efforts were also being made to put the proposal to a vote even sooner – on June 5 or 9, if possible.
Mickoski said the decision to appoint Aliu new Minister of Health had been made last week and the motion had been filed Friday.
"We are trying to make it happen before June 12, when the next session is scheduled. Two dates have been given as an option: June 5 and 9, but let's see if Parliament manages to organize itself and schedule a session," Mickoski told reporters.
Azir Aliu is a former Minister of Information Society and Administration. He is an Alliance for Albanians member remaining in the Worth It coalition, after Arben Taravari resigned as health minister on May 15 to go into opposition. mr/
