Mickoski and Nikoloski to mark beginning of reconstruction of Ohrid airport

Skopje, 29 March 2026 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski will attend an event Sunday marking the beginning of reconstruction works at the “St. Paul the Apostle” airport in Ohrid.
The event will also be attended by TAV Macedonia’s General Manager Nejat Kurt.
In a statement for MIA, the head of TAV Macedonia said the reconstruction and modernization of the Ohrid airport will cost EUR 2.7 million.
With the planned activities, according to TAV Macedonia, the airport will finally get a new look. The terminal building will gain more space for passengers, aiming to provide more efficient and comfortable services.
The project will cover several key segments and will be carried out in phases. It is expected to be fully completed by the end of May this year. During the reconstruction, air traffic will continue without interruption
