Parliament, City of Skopje delegations lay flowers at monument of 1963 Skopje earthquake victims

Skopje, 26 July 2024 (MIA) - Delegations from Parliament and the City of Skopje laid flowers Friday at the monument to the 1963 earthquake victims at the Skopje-based Butel cemetery on the 61st anniversary of the devastating earthquake.
The delegation from Parliament was headed by MP Antonijo Miloshoski, accompanied by MPs Sergej Popov, Mitko Trajchuleski, Dijana Toska, Daniela Belimova and Amar Mecinovikj.
Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska also laid flowers at the monument, heading the delegation from the City of Skopje.
The devastating earthquake that struck Skopje on July 26, 1963 at 5:17 am killed more than a 1.000 people and left 200.000 homeless.
