Skopje, 3 October 2023 (MIA) – At the 126th session Tuesday, Parliament adopted the draft-decision on reallocation of funds among Budget beneficiaries with 62 votes in favor and 10 abstentions.

Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi stressed that the reallocation amounts to about EUR 300 million, secured from items where the realization dynamics is slower, through savings and increased revenues from contributions.

The main objective of the reallocation, according to the Minister, is to meet the needs following the collective agreement with unions over an increase of public sector salaries by ten percent, payment of a holiday bonus in the amount of Mden 10,000 (EUR 170), as well as funds for a six-percent increase of pensions in accordance to the law. Social transfers are also increased, whereas funds are also allocated for the procurement of medicines for cystic fibrosis and diabetes patients.

At the session Tuesday, Parliament also adopted the amendments to the Law on Budget Execution.
