Over 40 Macedonian wineries with 300 different wines to participate in Belgrade's Open Balkan Fair
Skopje, 26 August 2022 (MIA) - Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said Friday that 42 Macedonian wineries and 3 distilleries will take part in the upcoming Open Balkan Food and Wine Fair on September 1-4 in Belgrade. A selection of 300 different wines will be presented. "Participation in this fair means greater imports, purchases and securing new markets for Macedonian wine. Buyers from the EU, US, China and other countries of the East will be at the event, co-organized and co-hosted by us," the PM said. Kovachevski said he believes that the fair is an opportunity to connect the Balkan wine routes, to bring together the best wineries in one venue and discuss the development of the potential of the wine industry, as well as the opportunity to participate in the markets worldwide. dk/ba/
