Skopje, 10 April 2023 (MIA) - The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani during the meeting with the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili underscored that the involvement of all stakeholders in the conflict mediation is crucial.
It will enable comprehensiveness of the process which will lead to more desired results, he added.
“In this regard, the inclusion of women in peace processes is particularly important, because through such an approach, long-term and sustainable peace can be ensured. All participants need to improve the meaningful participation of women in the Geneva International Discussions and we count on your support. We are fully aware of your strong role in the field of women's leadership in conflict resolution,” Osmani said.
In addition to the OSCE's support for solving these issues within the established international platforms, the OSCE, as Osmani said, is ready to strengthen its engagement directly in and with Georgia by presenting new programs in the three dimensions of security.
In that context, Osmani said that the OSCE can give additional impetus to regional initiatives as well.
“I give full political support for the implementation of this idea and I assure you that the Chairmanship is ready to share its specific experience from North Macedonia and the Balkans to strengthen regional cooperation,” Osmani said.
