Osmani at meeting of SEECP FMs and RCC
New York, 24 September 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani took part at the traditional meeting of Foreign Ministers within the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP) and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) at the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Friday.
The meeting focused on topics related to the European integration of regional countries, current energy crisis and its effects on cooperation in Southeast Europe, as well as the EU Economic and Investment Plant for the area and the Western Balkans Green Agenda, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
“Besides the fact that the specific projects and processes will have a socio-economic impact, they will also send a strong political signal to citizens in the region and international partners, especially in the context of the uncertainty regarding the crisis in Ukraine and the threat to the European and global security architecture,” said FM Osmani.
He referred to the start of North Macedonia’s EU accession negotiations as an acknowledgment for the country’s reform efforts, its functional multiethnic model and the policy of goodneighborly relations.
North Macedonia is the next SEECP chair-country, starting in June 2023.
