OSCE Troika meets as part of Prespa Forum Dialogue
Skopje, 16 June 2022 (MIA) – The OSCE Troika: Poland’s Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, and Swedish Ambassador Kristin Forsgren Bengtsson on behalf of Sweden’s Foreign Minister, met Thursday on the sidelines of the Prespa Forum Dialogue 2022. OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid also attended the meeting. “Talks focused on the current security risks facing the OSCE region and the Organization’s role in tackling them. The current OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, briefed participants in the meeting on current experience in context and the challenges faced in the implementation of the agenda,” the Foreign Ministry said in a press release. Minister Osmani, adds the press release, stressed that observance of the common principles and commitments of the Organization must not be put into question, adding that the OSCE Troika will actively work to protect and promote them. In addition, the OSCE Troika together with the OSCE Secretary General agreed on a Joint Statement, reaffirming, among other, condemnation of Russian aggression against Ukraine and calling for immediate de-escalation.
