Skopje, 24 June 2025 (MIA) - Macedonia offers the best investment conditions, we have development plans for improvement of the railway and road network along European corridors, and the strategic location gives the country large comparative advantage compared to other states in the region, said Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski at a meeting with some of the biggest French companies in Paris on Tuesday.

Minister Nikoloski presented the country's transport policies, including the construction of the Corridor X fast rail and its significance for a cheaper and faster cargo transport in Central Europe. He also presented the projects for enhancement of the road network and the possibilities for development of the airline sector, the Ministry of Transport said in a press release.

Nikoloski said Macedonia has entered a strong investment cycle worth several billions of euros, which opens big opportunities for cooperation with French companies, considering the favorable investment criteria and the Government's support for new foreign investments.

The meeting also saw a presentation of the French policies related to the modernization, management and security of railway traffic in the country.

Earlier, Minister Nikoloski met with Magali Cesana, Head of the General Directorate for the Treasury within the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, discussing ways to improve the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

Deputy PM Nikoloski is set to meet with French government officials on Wednesday as well, reads the press release.
