New German investment to open 700 jobs, groundbreaking event on Wednesday

Skopje, 3 September 2024 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Tuesday a new German company is set to invest in the production of lithium batteries and open 700 jobs, with the groundbreaking event to take place tomorrow.

PM Mickoski said the new investment will amount to EUR 60-65 million.

"After removing the hurdles that piled up for months before, we will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a German company on Wednesday. An investment worth EUR 60-65 million, it will produce lithium batteries and open about 700 jobs. Exports will rise and thus reduce the deficit and increase the GDP," Mickoski told reporters.
