Nearly Mden 20 million from Budget to be used to fund program activities of associations, foundations
Skopje, 19 July 2021 (MIA) – The government decided on Monday to allocate Mden 19,800,000 from the 2021 Budget for funding program activities of associations and foundations.
The money is set to fund the activities of 33 civil society organizations as part of projects in seven priority areas, the government said in a press release following its 88th session.
The priority areas include: ensuring rapid and sustainable economic growth, higher living standard and quality of life; managing the global pandemic brought on by COVID-19; environmental protection, green development, reduced air pollution and impact of climate change; rule of law, independence of judiciary, unselective and transparent fight against crime and corruption; quality education accessible to all in line with labor market demands; modern and efficient public administration based on digitalization that provides high-quality, fast services for citizens and businesses; successful conduct of European Union accession negotiations.
