Skopje, 28 June 2024 (MIA) - The National Bank presented Friday the latest data related to the net external debt, which amounts to EUR 4.35 billion or 29.9 percent of the projected GDP in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024.

In Q1, the net external debt of the country decreased by EUR 109 million or 2.4 percent. In terms of structure, the private net debt continues to have larger share in the total net debt with 62 percent, says the National Bank.

In Q1, the negative net international investment position (IIP) increased by EUR 6 million to EUR 8,5 billion, which is 58.4 percent of projected GDP for 2024.
