Skopje, 17 September 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met Tuesday with the Ambassador of the United States, Angela Aggeler, with whom he discussed the upcoming UN General Assembly, North Macedonia’s EU integration and the importance of accelerating the process to boost economic development, rule of law and the fight against corruption, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.

According to the press release, Mucunski voiced gratitude for the continued assistance provided by the U.S. for the reforms and the democratic development of the country. Opinions were exchanged on the bilateral relations and opportunities for their enhancement within the frameworks of the Strategic Dialogue.

The strong partnership within NATO and the joint commitment to defend democratic values, especially amidst the current security challenges, were reaffirmed at the meeting.
