Miteva: State Market Inspectorate finds 13 facilities do not meet minimum technical requirements

Skopje, 21 March 2025 (MIA) – The State Market Inspectorate has carried out 82 controls on Thursday, establishing that 13 facilities did not meet minimum technical requirements.

Government Spokesperson Marija Miteva told a press conference on Friday that those legal entities will have their licenses revoked and will be prohibited from carrying out their activities.

"The State Market Inspectorate carried out a total of 82 controls on Thursday. Analysis and control is ongoing. The situation so far is as follows: out of 23 facilities holding a license, it was found that 13 do not meet the minimum technical requirements. Five legal entities registered as cabaret nightclubs, which had expired licenses but have been operating in the past period, have been prohibited from carrying out their activities. As for the remaining 41 cafés, clubs, 30 of them were found to have irregularities according to the law on hospitality, and 28 misdemeanour orders as well as two shutdown orders over exceeding stated business hours have been issued," Miteva said.
