Ministry of Finance issues 23. emission of denationalization bonds worth EUR 1.5 million
- The Ministry of Finance has issued the 23rd emission of denationalization bonds worth EUR 1.5 million, compensating 108 applicants holding final denationalization decisions passed in the course of 2023.
Skopje, 29 December 2024 (MIA) - The Ministry of Finance has issued the 23rd emission of denationalization bonds worth EUR 1.5 million, compensating 108 applicants holding final denationalization decisions passed in the course of 2023.
The nominal value and the 2-percent annual interest of the denationalization bonds is paid once a year for a period of 10 years, namely in 10 equal installments. The payment of this emission will begin on 1 June 2025. Bondholders can trade the bond at the secondary market on the Macedonian Stock Exchange, the Ministry of Finance said in a press release.
Starting in 2002, the Ministry of Finance has issued denationalization bonds on a yearly basis, and the Government determines the amount of the bonds to be issued. The country has thus far issued 22 emissions amounting to a total of EUR 397 million.
