Skopje, 5 July 2022 (MIA) - The citizens have the right to protest and no one can suspend that right. However, protest must be peaceful and democratic, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski said Tuesday. He called on political factors, protest organizers and the citizens to demonstrate democratic capacity and to protect peace and order. "To assault those who maintain the order, the Macedonian police and the institutions, will contribute to nothing," Spasovski said in a Facebook post. The Minister warned that there have been calls for radicalization of the protects by some political factors by attacking police officers and vital institutions. Yesterday, Spasovski mentioned, four policemen were injured during attempts for escalation at the protests.
