Konche, 1 June 2023 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said Thursday that he has not received an official invitation thus far for a leaders’ meeting with Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, and that they don't know the agenda or format of the possible meeting yet.
Mickoski said the meeting should focus on the actions set to be taken after the failure of the constitutional amendments, which, he said, is more and more likely to happen, because the MPs of VMRO-DPMNE and its coalition will not support them.
“It is important to state that we, as a political party, have not received an official invitation from Dimitar Kovachevski. Nor do we have an agenda for the talks, nor a proposed format. What is important to determine now, is what we will do if the constitutional amendments fail, because we can’t lock up the country. And it is more and more certain that they won’t succeed, because we as a coalition and VMRO-DPMNE, won’t support them. What will we do then? I think this should be discussed, but we have to wait, see the format, place, time, day. We practically have nothing except for Kovachevski’s statement,” said Mickoski.
