Skopje, 3 July 2025 (MIA) - New investment worth over EUR 30 million by Gentherm, a global leader in the automotive industry, will open up to 300 jobs, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Thursday.

PM Mickoski told a press conference this is another indicator that the country is turning into a safe destination for long-term strategic technologically advanced investments.

"Besides the already existing facility in Prilep, Gentherm is launching a process for enlargement of the production in the country. This new investment cycle is a validation that Macedonia is becoming a safe destination for long-term strategic technologically advanced investments," said Mickoski.

According to him, the new investment will significantly increase the volume of exports and turn the country into Gentherm's regional hub.

"This is not only another investment, this is a generator for our economy. These projects lead to a rise of industrial production, open new jobs, boost exports, leading in turn to increased confidence in our economy, but also the local know-how and skills," said Mickoski.
