Тетово, 29 април 2024 (МИА) – VMRO-DPMNE, as part of its parliamentary campaign "Macedonia Yours Again! Changes are in your hands", held rallies in Janchishte, Municipality of Jegunovce, as well as in Brvenica near Tetovo on Monday. Party leader Hristijan Mickoski, list principal in the sixth election district Dafina Stojanoska and presidential candidate Gordana Siljanovska Davkova addressed the rallies.
Addressing citizens in Janchishte, Mickoski said VMRO-DPMNE had expected up to 150,000 votes in the first round of the presidential elections, but there is a difference of 180,000 votes, which, according to him, means that VMRO-DPMNE together with the people are achieving historic results.
"Now our next goal, again a historic one, is that a coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE from the opposition wins a majority in the Macedonian Parliament for the first time. A majority in the Macedonian Parliament is needed and the next president should be Gordana Siljanovska Davkova. Seeing developments over these five days, since the first round of the presidential elections, I am convinced that this will also happen. We are less than a week away from Election Day, and seeing this energy and the emotion I feel from the Macedonian people, I am convinced that this too will happen," said Mickoski.
List principal in the sixth election district, Dafina Stojanoska, said that on April 24, a huge number of voters have sent a strong message to the current and future government.
"They signed the current government up for a long leave, while giving the future government the opportunity to start making things right, but with no room for any error or omission. While the current government recovers from the knockdown and announces that it would start from scratch, the future VMRO-DPMNE government highlights "Platform 1198" and some of the infrastructure projects for the municipality of Jegunovce," Dafina Stojanoska told Monday's rally in Jegunovce.
Addressing citizens in Brvenica, Mickoski said "Your Macedonia" coalition and VMRO-DPMNE will consolidate 61 MP seats, and Gordana Siljanovska Davkova will be the next president. Mickoski stressed that the people should be listened to, and therefore DUI is going in opposition thus ending an inglorious era of a political party on the political scene in the country.
Mickoski noted that certain political parties have come out in the elections with their own candidates, presenting themselves as opposition and seeking anti-government votes. He added that having received a certain number of votes, the activists of those parties were now addressing the citizens saying: "why should you vote for VMRO-DPMNE, vote for us, we are in coalition with them".
"That is not true, that's manipulation, and that's a lie. Only one thing is true - the next government will be led by the coalition "Your Macedonia" and VMRO-DPMNE, and the next president will be Gordana Siljanovska Davkova. They do this because they are aware that they do not stand a theoretical chance to get closer to a more serious result and they are trying to get more votes so that they can look for their interests when forming a future government. That's why I call for unification in voting number 2," Mickoski said.
Stojanoska said the "Platform 1198" provides among other for a new school in the village of Brvenica, a makeover of the kindergarten so that it can accomodate more than 60 children, as well as a sports hall in Chelopek.
She pointed out that VMRO-DPMNE will increase pensions by Mden 5,000 in the first year.
