Mickoski: Focused on real capital investments

Skopje, 11 November 2024 (MIA) - We are focused on real capital investments, not transfers to public enterprises that the previous authorities reported as capital investments, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Monday.

"Next year's budget projects about Mden 50.5 billion (EUR 820 million) for capital investments, not including the transfers to public enterprises that the previous government reported as capital investments. These transfers have nothing in common with capital investments and that is why citizens did not see any benefit in their living standard. We have real capital investments," PM Mickoski told reporters.

By the end of June, he added, the ratio of the budget deficit and the realized capital investments was 3:1, whereas as of October, the Budget deficit stands at Mden 24 billion (EUR 390 million) and capital investments at Mden 19 billion (EUR 308 million).

"They are set to even up by the end of the year, because our indebtedness should be seen through the capital investments so that we have added value. The focus on capital investments is already seen across the country," said Mickoski.
