Skopje, 13 March 2025 (MIA) — An exhibition of large-scale paintings by young Macedonian artist Marta Patlidzhankovska (b. 1999, Skopje) will open at the Macedonian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia.
Аccording to organizers in a press release, "Moments" showcases works in mixed media Patlidzhankovska painted in the last two years.
Vivid and expressive colors dominate her paintings, most of them featuring cats.
"Patlidzhankovska singles out the cat as the main motif in almost all of her works and paints it from her own perspective – with bold spiral and sparkling eyes, mixing elements of symbolism and metaphor," the release says.
Patlidzhankovska graduated from the state university's Faculty of Fine Arts in 2022, majoring in painting, restoration and conservation.
She is a member of DLUM Association of Fine Artists of Macedonia and has had several solo exhibitions and group exhibitions. mr/
