Kostadinovski - Drexler: Germany continues cooperation with Constitutional Court through projects

Skopje, 6 September 2024 (MIA) - Constitutional Court President Darko Kostadinovski and judge Tatjana Vasikj-Bozadzhieva held a working meeting on Friday with German Ambassador Petra Drexler.
Interlocutors expressed mutual satisfaction with the cooperation with the German Embassy so far through projects that promote freedoms and rights of citizens, and the strengthening of the rule of law, the Constitutional Court said in a press release.
Kostadinovski said he will advocate for introducing constitutional litigation in the Republic of North Macedonia, as one of the priorities during his term, and expressed gratitude to Ambassador Drexler for the support and activities that helped promote the need to introduce the constitutional litigation instrument in the past period.
In terms of deepening cooperation with Germany, Kostadinovski sent a letter and open invitation to the Federal Constitutional Court President Stephan Harbarth to visit the Constitutional Court.
Ambassador Drexler stressed her satisfaction with the joint activities so far, announcing support for future cooperation with German organizations and experts in the field of constitutional law, the press release reads. ssh/nn/
