Skopje, 25 December 2023 (MIA) – The country’s joint history commissions with Bulgaria and Greece were created on the basis of parity, they are fully led by experts in the field and are working without any political influence, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski on Monday in answer to a journalist’s question.
“The history commissions that we have both with Greece and with Bulgaria, which are similar to the ones that exist between EU member states (Poland and Germany), work independently of any political influence and are fully led by experts in the field, i.e., by historians. They were created on the basis of parity. The Commission with Bulgaria is only composed of historians, while the Commission with Greece also includes diplomats. All information over their work can be acquired directly from them and from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” said Kovachevski.
