Jane Altiparmakov's music documentary closes Giga Fest 2024

Kriva Palanka, 1 August 2024 (MIA) — Macedonian filmmaker Jane Altiparmakov's music documentary "The Hip – Brainstorm" was screened Wednesday evening as part of Giga Fest 2024 multimedia festival's closing night.

 

According to MIA's Kriva Palanka correspondent, the screening was followed by an audience discussion with Altiparmakov, moderated by Klementina Ristovska.

 

The film was produced and edited by Mihail Dimitrov. The sound designer is Valentin Vidovikj. The director of photography is Natasha Geleva and the cinematographer is Anja Ilieva. The author of the original idea for the music documentary is Ljubisha Petrushevski.

 

Jane Altiparmakov (b. 1977, Skopje) studied Philosophy at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Cultural Studies at Euro College, and graduated with a degree in Film and TV Directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje.

 

Besides being a filmmaker and producer, he is also a critic, art theorist, documentary photographer, DJ and a longtime contributor to the independent radio station Kanal 103.

 

Giga Fest 2024 was organized within the Kriva Palanka Summer of Culture and the Kriva Palanka – City of Culture programming, which includes two open-air concerts in the next two days and two book launches as well as a folk music and dance concert next week. mr/
