Skopje, 31 January 2023 (MIA) – Gostivar Mayor Arben Taravari met with British Ambassador to North Macedonia, Matthew Lawson, on Tuesday.  
 
“I thanked Ambassador Lawson for the continued support of the United Kingdom, as one of our most important NATO allies, in terms of the country’s development and stability. Ambassador Lawson and I agreed that amid these turbulent times for the continent, internal political stability is a guarantee for economic development, increased foreign investment and prosperity for the country’s citizens,” Taravari said.  
 
Interlocutors also discussed about Gostivar’s economic and cultural potential, as a city that is a model of coexistence. Mayor Taravari and Ambassador Lawson agreed to intensify cooperation between the Embassy of the United Kingdom and the Municipality of Gostivar in areas of mutual interest.
