Skopje, 4 September 2025 (MIA) - The GDP increased by 3.4 percent in the second quarter (Q2) compared to the same period in 2024, said the State Statistical Office on Thursday.

In the second quarter of 2025, a bigger increase was recorded in sections: Construction by 7.3%, Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; Transportation and storage; Accommodation and food service activities by 6.0% and Mining and quarrying; Manufacturing; Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply; Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities by 3.9%.

The Household final consumption, including Non-profit institutions serving households, in the second quarter of 2025, increased by 6.1%, and its share in the GDP structure was 68.5%.

In the same period, Export of goods and services increased by 6.4% in nominal terms and Import of goods and services also increased by 7.3%.

According to seasonally and calendar adjusted data, growth rate of the Gross Domestic Product in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the second quarter of 2024 was 3.2%.
