Skopje, 4 August 2023 (MIA) - Galichnik Film Festival under the motto "Breathe the Magic of Film” is set to take place starting Friday through Sunday, August 6.

The festival will open Friday night at 7:45 pm at the old Upija amphitheatre, showing short films from all around the world.

This year's catalogue is made up of 33 short films from the featured short film, documentary short film and animated short film categories, which have already taken of the most prestigious world film festivals, such as the Cannes Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival, Sundance, Saraevo Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and others.

In addition to the film programme, the Galichnik Film Festival also hosts an educational portion with workshops from Dejan Dukovski, who will lead the Ex-Yu Script Lab, and Andrej Volkashin, who will hold a master class for series development.

The jury-members, who will decide on the competitive part of the festival, are actor Sashko Kocev, producer Elena Stanisheva, and director Georgi Unkovski.

The festival will close with "Something Sweet" feature film, with Elena Jovanova and Sashko Kocev playing the main roles, after which Upija's plateau will become a center for entertainment- music, vine, interactions and film discussions.
