Food and wine festival to be held in Strumica as part of Open Balkan
Skopje, 30 August 2022 (MIA) – On September 7, the Government, as part of the Open Balkan initiative, will hold a regional Food and Wine Festival in Strumica in collaboration with the renowned EXIT organization. The festival will be an extension of the fair for wine, food and tourism to be held in Belgrade from September 1 – 4. According to the Government’s press release, the Food and Wine Festival will be open to all visitors free of charge and will offer the best wines from regional and local wineries, regional food as well as traditional organic specialties from the Macedonian cuisine. Chefs from local restaurants and students from the culinary school will also be present and together they will prepare local specialties. An afternoon program is planned as well, with concerts from 6 to 9 pm, including performances from the Macedonian cult band 21 Vek, Dina Jashari, Dzambo Agushevi Orchestra, as well as hip hop veterans DJ Goce S.A.F and DJ Chvare. In addition to this, EXIT is organizing the already announced ‘Get EXITed’ music event in Strumica, where two of the biggest names on the regional and international electronic music stage, Deborah De Luca and Mahmut Orhan, will perform. On top of that, the event will offer a specific and interesting ethno-gastronomic program as well. ad/ba/
