Faculty of Security celebrates its 45th anniversary
Skopje, 3 October 2022 (MIA) – Skopje-based Faculty of Security within the St. Kliment Ohridski University in Bitola celebrated Monday its 45th anniversary and the first day of classes Congratulating the jubilee, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski said that security is a science that is actively developing and that should keep up with modern challenges. “After 45 years, the Faculty of Security continues with undiminished intensity to reaffirm its successful scientific and professional reputation, i.e., its place in the educational system,” Spasovski said. The beginning of the academic year is equally important for the freshmen and students who continue their studies, Spasovski added. Since its establishment in 1977, 3,500 students have graduated from the Faculty of Security, 140 students have earned master's degrees and 47 students have gained the title of Doctor of Science in the field of security. Over the past years, he noted, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has demonstrated open and partnership approach to security sciences, while putting the educational-professional criteria and standards first. The Rector of the St. Kliment Ohridski University in Bitola Igor Nedelkovski congratulated the anniversary of the Faculty of Security in Skopje and wished successful studies to the freshmen. “We will do everything in our power for the University to be your second home, for you to progress personally and for you to make us proud of your successes,” Nedelkovski said. The Dean of the Faculty of Security Nikola Dujovski said that the Faculty of Security in the past years in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other security institutions is one of the largest faculties in social sciences, of which he is particularly proud and wished successful new school year. Moreover, plaques were awarded to Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski and other prominent individuals.
