Brussels, 24 June 2024 (MIA) – European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi congratulated Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and the new government on their elections.

“Congratulations to Prime Minister Mickoski and members of the new Government. Looking forward to work swiftly with you to advance North Macedonia’s EU path,” Varhelyi posted on X, formerly Twitter. 

Mickoski’s new cabinet was elected in Parliament on Sunday evening with 77 votes in favor and 22 against. The MPs from the coalitions led by VMRO-DPMNE and Worth It and ZNAM Movement voted for the new government, while SDSM and Levica MPs were against. European Front MPs, led by DUI, left the session before the vote.
