Skopje, 27 June 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Friday he expects a new investment in the Shtip industrial zone to be launched this autumn, with 150 jobs to open in a battery production plant worth EUR 36 million.
PM Mickoski told reporters that the company is registered in a European Union member-state.
"Yesterday, I spoke over the phone with the head of the Directorate for Technological-Industrial Development Zones, who confirmed the investment in the Shtip-based industrial zone. In three years from now, the company is expected to have EUR 300 million-worth of exports, as agreed with the investor," said Mickoski.
According to him, the groundbreaking ceremony will take place in autumn, with the agreement signing already in the pipeline.
