Skopje, 11 February 2025 (MIA) – Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM) and the Germany’s KfW bank are to sign two agreements on Tuesday under the patronage of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.
The agreements, financed through a favourable loan from Germany’s KfW Development Bank, will support new investments in renewable energy, including the construction of Bitola 2 photovoltaic power plant and the second phase of the Bogdanci wind park, the government said in a press release.
The funds for these two projects, totalling €55 million, have been secured through a state-guaranteed loan signed by the Ministry of Finance under exceptionally favourable terms, with a 15-year repayment period and a 5-year grace period.
Following the signing ceremony, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and director of the KfW Office in Skopje and Pristina, Moritz Remé, will hold a press conference.
