Delegation led by Minister Trenchevska travels to Brussels for a bilateral meeting as part of screening process

Skopje, 9 May 2023 (MIA) - Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovanka Trenchevska alongside representatives from the Ministry and from other institutions traveled to Brussels on Tuesday to take part in a bilateral meeting as part of the screening process with the European Commission.
According to the Ministry, the bilateral meeting begins with the topic "The European Pillar of Social Rights", whereat Minister Trenchevska will speak about national key reforms and initiatives, as well as challenges and future plans in relation to the 20 key principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) that represent the general strategy for a stronger social Europe.
Between May 10 and May 12, representatives from the Ministry and other institutions will address topics in the area of Chapter 19 – Social policy and employment under Cluster 3 on Competitiveness and inclusive growth.
"North Macedonia's delegation on Chapter 19 includes officials of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, as well as representatives from other institutions: the Ministry of Transport and Communications, State Labor Inspectorate, State Technical Inspectorate, Institute for Occupational Medicine, Health Insurance Fund and the Employment Agency due to the specificity of certain areas covered by Chapter 19," said the Labor Ministry.
