COVID-19: 679 new cases, no deaths in past 24 hours
Skopje, 9 August 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 679 new COVID-19 cases after 1,537 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, and no deaths were reported, while 291 patients recovered, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.  Of the new cases, 237 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 59, Ohrid – 38, Kavadarci – 37, Kumanovo – 35, Gostivar – 30, Tetovo – 28, Prilep – 24, Kochani – 17, Strumica – 13, Berovo – 13, Struga – 13, Veles – 13, Gevgelija – 12, Shtip – 1, Negotino – 10, Radovish – 10, Kichevo – 5, Resen – 5, Delchevo – 5, Vinica – 5, Kratovo – 5, Kriva Palanka – 4, Valandovo – 3, Sveti Nikole – 2, Debar – 2, Krushevo – 2, Probishtip – 1, Bogdanci – 1, Demir Hisar – 1, Makedonski Brod – 1 and Demir Kapija – 1. At the moment, 4,379 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,130,248 tests, recording 332,667 COVID-19 cases and 318,890 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,398.
