COVID-19: 365 new cases, 551 patients recover, 23 die
Skopje, 19 September 2021 (MIA) – Over the past 24 hours, North Macedonia registered 365 new COVID-19 cases from 4,015 tests done in the country, 551 patients recovered and 23 people died from coronavirus-related complications, health authorities said on Sunday. New cases were recorded in Skopje –183, Ohrid – 24, Shtip – 20 Strumica – 19, Kumanovo – 15, Prilep – 14, Tetovo – 13, Veles – 13, Bitola – 11, Kavadarci – 11, Sveti Nikole – 7, Kochani – 5, Gevgelija – 5, Resen – 5, Kichevo – 4, Kriva Palanka – 3, Gostivar – 2, Struga – 2, Radovish – 2, Probishtip – 2, Negotino – 1, Delchevo – 1, Vinica – 1, Kratovo – 1, and Makedonski Brod – 1. Of the 23 people who died from coronavirus-related complications, 8 died in Skopje (aged 89, 88, 78, 77, 77, 66, 60 and 60), 3 in Veles (aged 62, 59 and 59), 2 in Kumanovo (aged 75 and 63), 2 Kavadarci (aged 72 and 65), and one person each in Tetovo (aged 67), Prilep (aged 75), Bitola (aged 95), Strumica (aged 87), Shtip (aged 45), Struga (aged 62), Sveti Nikole (aged 66) and Radovish (aged 63). At the moment, 13,052 cases are active nationwide, of which 5,833 in Skopje. Since the onset of the epidemic, a total of 1,252,094 tests have been made, recording 186,914 COVID-19 cases and 167,402 recoveries. The death toll has reached 6,460.
