COVID-19: 335 new cases, 515 patients recover, 13 die
Skopje, 21 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 335 new COVID-19 infections after 3,543 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, eight deaths and 515 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday. Of the new cases, 179 were registered in Skopje, followed by Prilep – 31, Bitola – 16, Kavadarci – 15, Resen – 12, Veles – 10, Ohrid – 10, Kumanovo – 8, Gevgelija – 8, Valandovo – 7, Tetovo – 5, Kichevo – 5, Radovish – 5, Shtip – 4, Negotino – 3, Gostivar – 2, Kochani – 2, Delchevo – 2, Demir Hisar – 2, Krushevo – 2, Strumica – 1, Struga – 1, Sveti Nikole – 1, Kriva Palanka – 1, Kratovo – 1, Bogdanci – 1 and Makedonski Brod – 1. Eight deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including three in Skopje (aged 68, 72 and 72) and one each in Bitola (55), Krushevo (68), Kumanovo (61), Prilep (75) and Ohrid (78). Five more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated November 26-December 16. At the moment, 5,182 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,555,273 tests, recording 221,744 COVID-19 cases and 208,724 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,838.
