COVID-19: 301 new cases, 192 patients recover, 7 die

Skopje, 18 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 301 new COVID-19 infections after 3,814 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, 7 deaths and 192 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

Of the new cases, 147 were registered in Skopje, followed by Prilep – 21, Kavadarci – 14, Resen – 13, Ohrid – 11, Bitola – 10, Delchevo – 9, Valandovo – 9, Shtip – 8, Veles – 7, Gevgelija – 7, Kumanovo – 6, Strumica – 6, Kichevo – 5, Negotino – 4, Kratovo – 4, Bogdanci – 4, Kriva Palanka – 3, Radovish – 3, Vinica – 3, Probishtip – 2, Makedonski Brod – 2, Berovo – 1, Demir Hisar – 1 and Makedonska Kamenica – 1.

Seven deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including two in Bitola (aged 79 and 90), one in Skopje (73), one in Shtip (35), one in Ohrid (90), one in Kriva Palanka (91) and one in Delchevo (64).

At the moment, 5,539 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,519,050 tests, recording 221,095 COVID-19 cases and 221,095 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,801.
