COVID-19: 297 new cases, 180 recoveries
Skopje, 8 July 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 297 new COVID-19 cases after 1,113 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, no deaths were reported, while 180 patients recovered, the Health Ministry said on Friday. Of the new cases, 174 were registered in Skopje, followed by Kumanovo – 21, Bitola – 17, Prilep – 12, Kavadarci – 12, Veles – 11, Gostivar – 9, Shtip – 8, Tetovo – 6, Strumica – 4, Kichevo – 4, Radovish – 4, Kochani – 3, Gevgelija – 3, Resen – 2, Demir Hisar – 2, Ohrid – 1, Struga – 1, Valandovo – 1, Kratovo – 1, and Makedonski Brod – 1. According to the e-registry of Covid-related fatalities, two persons from Skopje died in period June 29-30. At the moment, 1,591 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,088,834 tests, recording 315,699 COVID-19 cases and 304,777 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,331.
