Skopje, 5 April 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova said Monday there is no need for early parliamentary elections if lawmakers from the Alliance of Albanians (AA) bloc of Arben Taravari leave the ruling coalition.

President Siljanovska Davkova said that snap elections are required when institutions are not functional or when the ruling majority is at the 61-seat limit.

"Yes, there are problems but institutions are managing them. The regular local elections will reflect the people's sentiments. Nevertheless, there is absolutely no need for parliamentary elections," Siljanovska Davkova told reporters.

She added that the ones urging for early elections were against them when circumstances were ripe for such a vote.
