COVID-19: 219 new cases, 30 patients recover, 4 die
Skopje, 5 August 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 219 new cases out of 4,713 COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours. Sixty-five new cases were registered in Skopje and Tetovo each, followed by Kumanovo – 20, Gostivar – 19, Strumica – 7, Kichevo – 6, Bitola – 4, Struga – 4, Berovo – 4, Vinica – 4, Prilep – 3, Kochani – 3, Veles – 2, Kavadarci – 2, Shtip – 2, Radovish – 2, Debar – 2, Ohrid – 1, Resen – 1, Makedoska Kamenica – 1, Makedonski Brod – 1, Pehchevo – 1. Thirty coronavirus patients recovered, and four patients, including two from Skopje (aged 61 and 66), one from Tetovo (76) and one from Kichevo (76), died in the same period, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 156,926 confirmed coronavirus cases and 150,470 people have recovered. The death toll has reached 5,501. At the moment, there are 955 active cases nationwide, including 275 in the capital Skopje. A total of 994,203 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country so far.
