Skopje, 26 June 2024 (MIA) - Agreements, especially international ones included in the EU negotiating framework, must be observed, GERB leader and former Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said Wednesday, commenting on Macedonian Prime Minister Hristjan Mickoski's statement that if there is political will, a solution with Bulgaria is possible and the negotiating framework with the EU can be changed. 

Borissov said that despite the good relations between him and the partners in the EU, agreements must be observed.

"Any interpretations are not good for the colleagues from North Macedonia. The Republic of North Macedonia has no chance for the EU without our support and Greece's support. They have to be responsible now. They can no longer rely on our support now as they received it," Borissov said. 

He noted that he would initiate a meeting with Mickoski if he forms a government and becomes Bulgaria's Prime Minister again.
