April sees growth in total loans, deposits: National Bank

Skopje, 21 May 2024 (MIA) - Annually, total loans increased by 6.8%, due to the increased lending to both sectors, primarily the household sector. Total deposits registered annual growth of 9.3% due to the higher deposit in both sectors, with a larger contribution of the household sector, the National Bank said on Tuesday.
This month, total loans registered a monthly increase of 1.2%, due to the higher lending to both sectors, with a larger contribution of the corporate sector. In April, total deposits registered a monthly growth of 1.3%, which is entirely due to the increased household deposits, amid decline in corporate deposits.
