Ahmeti: Make a choice between those who make history or those who can't even make two steps forward

Ahmeti: Make a choice between those who make history or those who can't even make two steps forward

Tetovo, 5 May 2024 (MIA) - The DUI-led European Front coalition held a central rally in Tetovo on Sunday. DUI leader Ali Ahmeti said the coalition is strong and its goal is to bring the country into the European Union.

"I have never come out and said something that I'm not able to do. We have made a promise that this country should be a full-fledged member, this country should have peace, it should be a member of the EU with the support of the United States, just as we joined NATO. There is no other alternative. The forces that want to stop us are in vain. On May 8, you will have to make a choice between those who make history or those who can't even make two steps forward," Ahmeti pointed out.

Ziadin Sela from the Alliance for Albanians, which is part of the coalition, said the citizens are the ones who decide their own fate.

"You are the people who decide with your vote and exercise your sovereignty. You are here to order Mickoski and all his puppets that they are not the ones who decide. You are the ones who decide with your vote about your future, and as you decided on April 24th, you will do the same on May 8th. You will say more firmly "YES for Europe and NO for Russia," said Sela.

DPA's Menduh Thaçi said the European Front is very important and its program has a vision and a goal.

"Our program is very clear. First, we become part of the EU, and also lift the suspension of Albania. The EU is not just paper, it is well-being, health, education, etc. All countries, as well as Macedonia, when they open negotiations, the funds for those countries multiply. I know you're fed up with political parties, but we're not solving the problem unless we guarantee Albanians and others that the minimum wage at the end of the year will be EUR 700," said Thaçi.

Arianit Hoxha from the European Democratic Party had messages to the ethnic Albanian opposition.

"We will not allow those from the opposition to cut the wings of the eagles with the help of Mickoski. On May 8, let's deliver the powerful message, the final blow, showing that neither the cries of Bilal Kasami, nor Afrim Gashi, nor those others who change positions five times a day, can stop the will of the Albanians," Hoxha said.
